We’ve often been asked by prospective patients: “what are the benefits of intensive outpatient treatment?” The truth is that this kind of treatment can fit into a person’s life perhaps better than other treatments might. If you aren’t sure which treatment is right for you, you can contact our professionals and they’ll go over your goals with you, so that you can find the right treatment to meet all of your needs. There are many benefits to using our intensive outpatient treatment in Westlake Village.
Flexibility of an Intensive Outpatient Treatment in Westlake Village
For many, getting the help they need doesn’t mean that they have to take themselves out of their entire life. That’s what our IOP treatment schedule allows for: you can maintain your everyday routines and responsibilities. So, you don’t have to take a leave of absence from your job. You can go home to your family every night. IOP works around your schedule. Yes, you have to make the time to come to the center, but you don’t have to put everything on hold in your life to do so.
More Opportunities to Use Your New Skills
At our IOP centers, no matter which location you choose, you’ll be able to develop new skills that will allow you to live a happy, healthy and sober life. One of the benefits of our IOP centers is that you can then put those skills to use immediately. Whereas residential treatment will keep you in a closed environment, you can take new coping or relationship skills out into the real world from the moment you leave the IOP for the day. Then, when you come back to the IOP, you’ll be able to build on those experiences.
Responsibility and Community
Going to an IOP has different responsibilities than being in residential treatment. You’re on your own more often. You are more in control of your own life, with all of the freedoms and challenges that come along with that. However, it’s important to note that just because you go to an IOP as opposed to a residential treatment center, you’ll still be able to be a part of a community. The communities at our IOP centers are strong indeed. You’ll meet people going through the same struggles that you are. They might even be at different points in their recovery, so they can learn from you as you learn from them.
Multiple IOP Centers to Fit Your Schedule
We know that it’s not exactly easy to get around the Southern California area. That’s just one of the reasons that we have multiple IOP facilities to choose from. You can take part in intensive outpatient treatment at our Westlake or Malibu facilities. Each of those has a different focus as well. The Westlake office has a strong focus on mental health and substance dependence treatment. Malibu, on the other hand, has more of a “boutique” vibe for much more personalized treatment. When you contact us, we can direct you towards the one that’s right for you. Just call (747) 222-7464.
