IOP program

Many search for “IOP near me” when looking for IOP program and it can be a great way to start. However, because finding an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) nearby is significant; it can feel nearly impossible to find the right one.

If you have been looking to get treatment for a while and start feeling discouraged, this blog post will help you figure out what is best for you! This article will look at what IOP programs include, the level of treatment they provide (as opposed to, or compared to, inpatient programs), how they work with insurance providers, and how to find one in your area.

Here are important points to consider when searching for an intensive outpatient program (IOP) nearby:

• What type of IOP you are looking for
• The cost of the program
• Whether or not your insurance covers the treatment program
• How often do you plan on attending therapy sessions (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly)
• What transportation options are available to get to therapy sessions
• If you can afford an IOP, as well as what other types of treatment might be more suitable for your needs

Types of IOP Programs at PCI Centers

Most addiction recovery programs are the typical 90-day inpatient or residential treatment programs, where the recovering individual stays on the premises 24/7 for the duration of the program (90 days, as stated in the name). This does not allow the individual the space or opportunity to continue with their regular life—they would not necessarily learn how to live their ordinary, everyday lives like an outpatient treatment program helps with.

At PCI, our intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) offer a flexible way to schedule your sessions each week, every other week, or however frequently you plan on attending your therapy sessions. Since it is an outpatient program, this allows you the flexibility of living at home with your family and loved ones while on the road to recovery. Our schedule is flexible in that we have multiple “tracks” (one in the morning and one in the evening), depending on what time you are working, in school, or are attending to your other life responsibilities. Our multiple different tracks are flexible enough to fit right in with your lifestyle.

Our mental health and substance dependence tracks are held at our Westlake Village location. At our Malibu location, we offer a more focused, or specialized, approach. Some individuals might not necessarily need the intensity of an IOP schedule but more in-depth and specific services than the weekly outpatient treatment services. We have treatment options for every need and every path of recovery. Everyone is different, and everyone has different needs to be met, and we are here to help you meet those needs!

Consider How Often You Plan on Attending Therapy Sessions

A significant aspect to think about when trying to find the right IOP program is what days of the week you can attend, what time you can attend (time of day—morning or evening, usually), and how often. Our intensive outpatient program allows you to work your regular job and tend to your other responsibilities. So, for example, if you work full time or go to school during the day, we can attend our program in the evenings. However, if you work at night, take night/evening classes for school, or have other responsibilities you need to tend to in the evening, we have the option of morning sessions. Whatever your needs are, we can work with you to get them met!

The Cost of the Program, and Whether or Not Treatment is Covered by Insurance

Here at PCI, much like American Addiction Centers, we provide treatment for addiction and substance use disorders and mental health disorders. This allows us to operate as an addiction treatment center for treating every type of addiction.

Our intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) are an excellent option to allow you to still live at home with your family and loved ones while going through an addiction recovery program. This also allows you to get daily support from your family and loved ones in the recovery process. Regarding the cost of the programs, our intensive outpatient programs and addiction treatment programs are covered by all major insurance companies, so you would be paying a lower portion of the cost, if any at all, for treatment. Of course, it could vary from plan to plan.

People at every income level need mental health support and support and as much assistance as possible to go through addiction recovery. We aim to have these programs be as affordable as possible so that people at any income level can attend. To find the programs in your area, the most common method to look for such programs is via zip code and/or address/city of residence, and within a specified mile radius (five miles, 10 miles, and so on). If you are within a reasonable enough radius of either of our locations, please consider reaching out to us to get started on your recovery and healing journey.

Transportation Options Available

Living in the Los Angeles area, multiple bus systems have multiple stops/drop-off locations near many major parts of town, such as major shopping centers and business centers, such as where PCI is located, both in Westlake Village and Malibu. If you choose to and can drive, plenty of parking is available at both locations. Whatever your transportation situation is, and whatever transportation method works best for you, there is a way to get to either site most convenient for you.

Other Treatments Available

Along with IOPs, some other treatments might also work for you. At PCI, we also offer multiple types of therapy, all of which our clinicians are thoroughly trained to work in.

These include:
• Group therapy
• Individual therapy
• Family therapy

In each program, if you need to be on some sort of medication for any reason, we are more than happy to assist with medication management—setting a schedule for taking medication(s), for example. Regardless of the type of therapy you choose to go with, you will undoubtedly be in great hands with our clinician and staff.

We now know that IOPs are the best way to get back to a sober life and a fantastic way to get and stay clean. But, which one do you think you should go with?
