Ivone Umar, PhD

Ivone Umar, Ph.D. is a licensed, board-certified, and highly seasoned clinical psychologist with over a decade of professional experience.

Dr. Umar holds a B.S. in commerce, with an emphasis in Administrative Management, from Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and a Master of Science in Educational Administration from Wisconsin International University. She earned her M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Psychology from Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, California.

She served as program director and psychotherapist of inpatient alcohol and drug rehabilitation at Malibu Beach Recovery Center in Brentwood, California, and as a psychotherapist for Child Abuse Listening & Mediation (CALM), a nonprofit dedicated to preventing childhood trauma, healing children and families, and building resilient communities throughout Santa Barbara County.

She provides psychotherapy, counseling and individual coaching in English, Portuguese and Spanish languages. She specializes in treating adults that are experiencing depression, anxiety, stress management, grief and loss, trauma and major life transitions.
