Wendy De Augustine, LMFT, M.A.

Wendy De Augustine is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s degree in Art Therapy. She specializes in individual, couples, group, and family therapy, with a focus on art therapy, narrative therapy, and working with children, adolescents, and adults. Wendy earned her 62-unit Master of Arts degree in Psychology, majoring in Marriage and Family Therapy/Art Therapy, from Phillips Graduate Institute.

Wendy works extensively with depressed teens and adults, utilizing various techniques through a Narrative and Postmodern lens to provide the most effective support for her clients. She is passionate about incorporating art into the therapeutic relationship, finding it an amazing tool, especially when combined with talk therapy, to treat trauma. For adults and couples, she often employs talk therapy alone.

As a client-centered therapist, Wendy meets her clients where they are, using Solution Focused Therapy and art to externalize trauma and reduce PTSD symptoms. She is also trained in EMDR II, CRM (Comprehensive Resource Model), Somatic Experiencing (SE), and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to address trauma-related symptoms. Recently, Wendy has received training in addressing self-injury in adolescents and supporting suicidal teens.
