“The Psychology of Uncertainty”

Dr. Hamideh presented her 2023 presidential talk for the Los Angeles County Psychological Association on the “Psychology of Uncertainty.” Dr. Miriam addressed the long-term changes in the field of psychology and society at large since the onset of the pandemic, while also discussing current trends in substance use and mental illness, and her near 30 years of experience dealing with these challenging conditions. LACPA members were invited to eat dinner and discuss Dr. Miriam’s presidential theme “Creative Resilience: Harnessing Uncertainty to Achieve Balance,” where they participated in a highly engaging and insightful collective discussion.
