 Dr. Hamideh presented her 2023 presidential talk for the Los Angeles Count
 y Psychological Association on the “Psychology of Uncertainty.” Dr. Mi
 riam addressed the long-term changes in the field of psychology and societ
 y at large since the onset of the pandemic\, while also discussing current
  trends in substance use and mental illness\, and her near 30 years of exp
 erience dealing with these challenging conditions. LACPA members were invi
 ted to eat dinner and discuss Dr. Miriam’s presidential theme “Creativ
 e Resilience: Harnessing Uncertainty to Achieve Balance\,” where they pa
 rticipated in a highly engaging and insightful collective discussion.
